This work comes from a series of highly precise handmade photomontages reproduced in Rumiak’s Love Book, which has become very popular, especially in the Far East. Most of the works strike with a dissonance between the brutal physical mutilations of the photographed women and the serenity and satisfaction they emanate.
Publications: Love Book (Frodo, 2003), singled out in the anthology 246 Loaded Photography Books: The Edge of Photography (Tokyo, 2005). Rumiak is the only artist to whom a whole chapter is dedicated in the book.
His work has been widely shown at individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

Dyplom katowickiej filii Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie otrzymał w 1999 r. Laureat nagrody kulturalnej Wojewody Katowickiego. Stypendysta Ministra Kultury i Sztuki w latach 1998/99. Stypendysta Marszałka Województwa Śląskiego w 2004 r. Od 1997 r. zajmuje się głównie fotografią.

An extra commission fee of 18% is charged by the organiser on the hammer price. The fee is also charged on any post-auction sale.
