Jakub Śwircz about the work: "Being one the last figures to resist photography, a black hole strikes a blow at its very essence - by absorbing light. Therefore, every time we handle its image, we handle a figment of our imagination, a visual apposition to what we cannot see."

Graduate of PWSFTviT in Łódź (Department of Photography); currently student of ITF Opava (Czech Republic). Her series The Day Before was selected for the reGeneration2: Tomorrow`s Photographers Today project, shown, among others, in Musée de l`Elysée in Switzerland, at the Aperture Foundation, New York, and Les Rencontres d`Arles in France. She has had several individual exhibitions: Private Maps, Zpaf i S-ka Gallery, Cracow; Leakage, TIFF Festival, Wrocław; and Fotofestiwal, Łódź. Her works have been exhibited at many group shows, including: The Forward Thinking Museum; Month of Photography, Bratislava; Prague Photo Festival; Bunkier Sztuki, Cracow. Winner of grants from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2010) and the Marshal of the Łódzkie Voivodship (2011). This year, her latest project, Leakage, was presented at Arles Voies Off and received 1st prize at the Fotofever photography art fair in Brussels, as well as a honorary mention in the FotoVisura Grant competition.

Studiuje w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Filmowej Telewizyjnej i Teatralnej w Łodzi oraz Instytucie Twórczej Fotografii na Uniwersytecie Śląskim w Opavie (Republika Czeska). Udział w projekcie szwajcarskiego Musée de l'Elysée „reGeneration2: Tomorrow's Photographers Today” oraz w polsko – norweskim projekcie artystycznym „Shaping Time" oragnizowanym przez PWSFTviT w Łodzi oraz Flaggfabrikken - Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej i Fotografii w Bergen (2010/2011).

Bidders who cannot participate in the auction in person can place their bids (specifying their maximum bid) on the days directly preceding the auction. An extra commission fee of 15% is charged by the organiser on the hammer price. The fee is also charged on any post-auction sale.
